Can't add fonts to Fontbase

  • Your operating system: Windows 11
  • Operating system version: 10.0.22631
  • FontBase version: 2.21.0
  • What actions caused the issue: I don’t know
  • If possible, attach a screenshot

I can’t add new fonts through button Add at the bottom of left panel nor just dragging font to the right field. I’ve noticed it couple weeks ago.

Hello @evgeniiatiu and thank you for your post
Do other functions work properly?
Do you remember what could have changed just before this started occurring? Trying to figure out the possible cause.

Also sent you a DM to clarify some things

Thank you again,

Hi evgeniiatiu

Maybe it’s question of workflow and you could go round this issue: I didn’t ever try to add a font like this and don’t actually know if it works. Instead I arranged several WATCHED folder, were all my fonts are situated. You can choose your own place on your drive. So when I get a new font, I copy it to one of the watched folders and it is present on the fly in Fontbase and also some apps that support it.
(Win 11, 23H2, Fontbase 2.21.0)

regards
Matt

Hi,
After a few trials and errors, we found that the issue was due to the use of the root folder of the Drive vie shortcut. once we changed it to a shared drive everything worked out.

Thanks anyway.

Curious to hear back from @evgeniiatiu to find out if her issue had a similar cause.

Hello, Yuriy! Thank you for your reply. I haven’t noticed other misfunctions.

Thank you, Matty! I haven’t used this way to add fonts. So now learned something new. But unfortunately it doesn’t work. The watched folder doesn’t appear in the left list of folders

Thank you for your reply
Looking forward to replies to the rest of the questions to get a better picture

Thank you again,
