I use Fontbase already for some time but until now not the auto-activation because of speed loss in InDesign. So after a time increasing activated fonts the system gets slow due to the amount of activated fonts ;-). So I decided to use now auto-activation und immediately encountered a problem (I would call it a bug because of normal workflow issue): If auto-activation activates a font used in a document and I checked decativate on close this is OK and works. But if a font IS already activated in my system and I open the document, it also will be DEACTIVATED on close! Fontbase should deactivate only AUTO-activated fonts on close!
Otherwise if I don’t use deactivation on close it fills my system again with activated fonts …
Has anyone a suggestion? (Windows 10/11)
Regards, Matt
Hello @Matty, thank you for your post:)
Just tested it and yeah, you’re right, thank you for pointing this out
Will have a look as to what the reason is.
Thank you again,

Hi @Matty, the solution does seem possible, yes. That’s the good news. The not-so-good news is that there is no definitive deadline I could give you on when this will be up and running, very sorry about this. Doing what we can, please bear with us
