Using a 2.18.1 on Mac Running Ventura 13.5
Have toggled ‘Start on system start’ on in App Behaviour but when the computer is restarted the app won’t open unless launched manually.
I also have ‘hide to tray on close’, ‘start hidden’ and ‘update automatically’ toggled on in app behaviour in case it makes a difference.

This is quite unusual.
Is FontBase installed locally (not on a network drive)?
Do you have full admin rights (a computer can be configured to block certain applications from launching on startup on purpose)?

Ta - it does seem like it was a weird admin blocking thing.
I was the only person in the business it was happening to and I was on a computer that was kind of a hangover from an old IT administration. I’ve switched to a newer one and now it’s working a treat
