when dropping a font file into the window of a selected collection, it does not appear in the collection. You then have to search for it and move it manually into the collection.

This doesn’t seem like a bug really. This seems to work just as described here Manage Collections — FontBase Tutorials.
The intended behaviour is to drop the fonts onto the desired collection in the collection list inside the left sidebar. The collections to drop into will become highlighted in green.
This works for both fonts already in FontBase and font files dragged over from the file explorer.

You don’t think it’s a bug when you drop a file where it says “drop file here” and it doesn’t appear there? Im not sure if I agree with that, but it’s your call!

I personally don’t really think this is a bug, given the message distinguishing between three different options corresponding to three different outcomes. But, at the same time, I completely understand how this can cause some level of confusion
