Hello @Jebe, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum
If I understand correctly, the app icon is missing from the system tray? Is it missing just when âstart hiddenâ is enabled, or even without toggling this on?
Thank you again,
Hello Yuriy,
Thank you for your response. The app starts hidden as expected, but there is no way to open the app window so I can add or remove fonts from the library.
Thank you for the quick reply @Jebe
Yes, I understand that is the problem. Normally there is a FontBase icon in the system tray which opens the app after being clicked. So my questions above were to understand why it is missing and how to remedy the situation
Thank you again,
Hi Yuriy,
I noticed that the app icon is visible in the Dock, but there is no indicator showing that it is active. When I click the icon, the indicator appears, but nothing else happens.
Thank you for the quick reply and the additional information @Jebe
To better understand whatâs going on: would it be possible to delete the preferences again, then try toggling âHide to tray on closeâ on (with âStart hiddenâ turned off) and see if the app behaviour would be the same?
Thank you again,
Hi Yuriy,
I believe Iâve found the âissue.â I just noticed the FontBase icon in the top bar of my Mac, and when I click on it, the font window appears. However, I find it strange that when I click the app in the Dock, nothing happens.
Is this expected behavior, or could there be an underlying issue?
Thanks for your time
Thank you for the quick update Jeroen
Is the icon in the top bar present with âStart hiddenâ turned on? If so, does it work to restore the main FontBase window? Sorry if the questions are redundant, just want to make sure I understand the situation as best as possible.
Hm, good question about clicking the Dock icon. In theory it should, but at this moment I am not 100% whether this is intended or a bug, will need to confirm.
Thank you again,
Hi Yuriy,
Yes the top icon is present when Start hidden is on, so i can add fonts now thank you for your help.
Thanks
