Adding TTF files to Google Shared Drive

Mac OS 26.4.1
FontBase 2026.5.0

I’ve added three TTF families to a watched folder on a shared Google Drive, and I can’t see them in FontBase.

Can’t upload a screenshot to this topic.

Hello Russell, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum :folded_hands:
A few questions, if I may, to better understand the situation.
Are there any other font files in that folder? If so, can you see them as expected?
Have you ever experienced similar issues with TTF files in shared or local folders?

Thank you again,

Hello. There are OpenType fonts in that folder, and I can see them, and they activate. Coming from Monotype Connect - never had a problem with TTF fonts.

Hello Russell, thank you for the quick reply :folded_hands:
Sorry the mistake in my previous question - do other TTF fonts work correctly in FontBase?

Thank you again,

Hello. I can select and add TTF fonts, but I can’t see them. The Google TTF fonts activate ok.

Thank you for the quick reply :folded_hands:
Does this also happen to TTF fonts in local (not shared) folders added into FontBase?

Thank you again,

Good morning. When I add TTF fonts into FontBase, I can’t see them.

Hello Russell, thank you for the quick reply :folded_hands:
That is very odd, FontBase should work with TTF and OTF fonts without any issues.
Would it be possible to try to download any TTF font from https://fonts.google.com/, add it into FontBase and see if it works properly?

Thank you again,

Hi. Yes, adding a TTF file from Google fonts works fine. I can upload the font as normal. So is there a problem with our 1077 TTF fonts? They’re ok in Monotype Connect.

I added the TTF font from Google to the Watched folder, and I can see it. So it must be because our font set is PostScript Type 1. Correct?

Hello Russell, thank you for the quick reply :folded_hands:
Fonts being PostScript Type 1 does seem to be the issue in this case, yes.

Thank you again,

Thank you for your support.
