I purchased an annual subscription to this program only for the automatic font activation feature in Adobe programs. My subscription renews at the end of December.

Since Adobe 2024 automatic font activation does not work, I will pay a 12-month subscription fee and benefit for 8 months.

I want the time I cannot use your service to be added to my subscription period. Otherwise, you will have defrauded me and many of your subscribers!!!

@marcos97 @Faro @norek thank you for your posts
And sorry for the delay in replying :pensive:
We’ve been tracking the possibility of doing this, but, sadly, as of now Adobe has not yet released the tools to enable the development of respective plugins for their 2024 applications.
As soon as it’s possible we’ll definitely post an update, or at the very least give an ETA on when the new plugins will be released. Unfortunately, due to limitations on Adobe’s side, we can’t do either :pensive:
Thank you again,

Hello @cakinci, thank you for your post and copying it twice in different topics
As you can see in FontBase’s Settings page, the 2024 Adobe plugins are not yet available. We’ve been trying to remedy the situation, but, as the post above mentions, currently there is no deadline as to when the updated plugins can be available.
Unfortunately it is hard to agree with your last statement, we’ve always been very clear about what functionality FontBase provides and what it doesn’t, therefore it is literally impossible for us to cause any kind of fraud.
Thank you for caring for many other FontBase subscribers and about our transparency
Thank you again,

I’m sorry Yuri that you have to take abuse for things that are beyond your control. Lashing out and accusing FontBase of fraud is, well, off-base. I’ve been using FontBase for years now, and I’ve been happy with the product. Perhaps a response sooner to your predicament regarding the lack of availability of tools for developing the 2024 plugins might have alleviated some concerns about the lack of an update.

Thank you for the kind words
And yes, you’re totally right about the last part - should’ve brought that info to light sooner :pensive:
Thank you again,

I’ve been using fontbase on illustrator 2024 and photoshop 2024 without problems on windows 11
by forcing the plug-in folder for the 2023 version to the new plug-in folders. It doesn’t work on inDesign, but at least there is just 1 duplicate app instead of 3
I know it shouldn’t work like this, but heck… at least it works.

Hope that it can benefit someone and the only blame on fontbase’s side is that you should have sent an e-mail to the subscribers or a forum post anticipating that you are planning to upgrade as soon as Adobe releases the necesary documentation.

Thank you all for the time of reading this and keep creative mindset!

Hey Yuriy, just thought I’d add my 2 cents.

I’ve been a subscriber for a couple of years now. I use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator every day, and Fontbase is now an integral part of my design process.

Like everyone, I’d love to see an update to Fontbase to be fully compatible with Adobe CC 2024. However, any inconveniences of activation plugins not currently working, is something I just manually work around. Otherwise, Fontbase has worked very well for me through Ventura and now Sonoma despite not much in the way of updates.

What is not lost on me, and hopefully many of your other customers is that I understand you are all based in Ukraine. I don’t know how close you are to the actual fighting, however to carry on ā€˜business as usual’ must be very difficult at this time. Like @marcos97, I too am sorry you’re copping abuse and hope you are all staying safe.

If any lack of status updates on your part have any relation to uncertainties in your country right now, no stress mate. I have an app that is serving me well and look forward to updates when you’re able.

Cheers.

For 35 days I have waited patiently for you to give us, your subscribers, a logical answer, because we do not use this program as a hobby. The contribution of this program to our business is undeniable and we need it.

Then, on October 17th, I wrote this answer because I realized that you don’t take your subscribers seriously or don’t care!

One day after my post, @yuriy replied. This proves my point whether you agree with it or not.

If you had sent an e-mail to inform your subscribers in time, you would not be facing these accusations.

Now that we have a definitive answer from you, we know what we have to wait for.

Thank you…

You are right about the notification timeline, it would’ve made the life of users waiting for the 2024 plugins much easier. Not every single users falls into this category, as we see from the number of forum and email messages on this matter, but it doesn’t make the waiting group any less important to us.
Thank you again for caring about the community and helping us continually improve FontBase

I am curious why other font managers do have the ability to use adobe 2024 apps with problems. RightFont for example. Not trying to be snarky, just asking as I’m a yearly subscriber.

Hello @Hello.Josue, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum
Do you mean automatic font activation with RightFont when an Adobe 2024 document is opened?
Thank you,
Yuriy

Yuriy, Yes, the plugins work flawlessly when you open a 2024 document. Here is a screenshot of the Settings panel. I’m attaching it so I hope you can see it. If not send me a personal email and I can even send you a short video.

By the way, I was a longtime user of RightFont, but my main issue with the app is that it is only for Mac. I am a typography teacher and even though I wrote many times to RightFont asking for a Windows version so my PC students could use it, the company did not seem interested. So I could not recommend the app. This is why I switched to Fontbase as I liked that it was multi-platform. My students don’t all use Macs, and I found your product accessible to my students. Our college has already switched to CC2024 so font activation is a big issue for the students.

Hello @Hello.Josue, thank you for the explanation and sorry for the delay in replying :pensive:

Hello everyone,
The new update has just been released and it includes the CC plugin updates up to 2024
Thank you all again for your input and helping us make FontBase better every time.
