Adobe Plugin not installing - M4 Max - PS, IL and ID 2025

Thank you for the quick reply Julie
What about the CC app versions (PS, ID, IL)?
Have you perhaps already tried to uninstall FontBase, reset the settings (Reset Settings — FontBase Tutorials), remove the plugin files in the respective CC app folders, then re-install FontBase and the plugins again?

Thank you again,

2025 versions,
no I didn’t try because reseting settings will “remove all the user-created collections and tags.” and I spent so much time to classify all my 4000 fonts… (sorry for
your supersearch features but I don’t think it’s very accurate)

Thank you for the quick reply Julie
I see, thank you for the clarification. Have you tried removing and re-installing the plugins themselves?

Hello again @kmhdesign :folded_hands:
What happens when you try to install the plugins on the new system using the Settings page without copying the files manually?

Thank you again,

Maybe im missing something? I thought they were installed automatically?
the only options under settings is (it shows me the file path) then ‘REMOVE’ or ‘CHANGE’.
here’s some screen captures:

Thank you for the quick reply @kmhdesign :folded_hands:
They should install automatically, yes, unless there are some issues with the OS, for example permission settings. I’ll DM you the plugin files - would it be possible for you to copy them into the respective Plug-Ins folders and see if that would help?

Thank you again,

Hello again @kmhdesign, glad replacing the plugins manually the trick :folded_hands:
Given that nothing within FontBase changed, nor did the plugin files, it seems that the cause was probably related to FontBase not being able to access the required CC app plugin folders (could be limited by the OS, user read/write rights, folder settings etc).

Thank you again,

@yuriy Hi, could you please send me the plugins. I just purchased the app and it is not loading the plugins in any of the adobe folders. I have tried uninstalling font base and starting over, but no luck.

I am running the most recent adobe CC, as well as the most up to date OS. Would it be possible to host the plugins right on your website, as this apparently is a pretty common issue?

Hello @JMG, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum :folded_hands:
Plugins sent, please check your DMs at your earliest convenience :folded_hands:
We’ll be releasing the next update very soon, which should include a fix to the plugin installation issue.
As for your question, unfortunately it is rather unlikely at this moment  But hopefully with the new release and fix that will also not be necessary.

Thank you again,

That worked, thank you.
