Auto-activate and plugins

Please include the flowing when reporting a bug:

  • MacOS Big Sur V 11.6
  • FontBase version 2.16.9
  • Illustrator version 26.0 (2022)

I’m trying to get the auto-locate and activate plug-ins for CC, specifically for illustrator and cant seem to get it to work. I’ve attached two images of where the plugin folders are located, can’t work out what I’m doing wrong?

Hello. The plugins folder for Illustrator looks OK. Is the font auto-activation not working for you?

Hey @dominik , @HarrisonDew is probably using a M1 Mac. I also have a M1 mac and I just saw a pop up notification saying that FontBase plugin only works under Rosetta and not natively on the M1 mac for auto-activation to work. When I first installed FontBase the app found the plug-ins folders for both Photoshop and inDesign but not for illustrator so I did the same way he did and I searched manually to find the plug-ins folder. I hope this helps you guys find out what’s going on

  • I’m excited to give FontBase a shot, I just switched from Suitcase and so far I’m loving it. Great job guys.
