Auto-activation for missing fonts not working

Please include the flowing when reporting a bug:

  • Your operating system MacOS Ventura
  • Operating system version 13.5
  • FontBase version 2.18.1
  • What actions caused the issue Updating to CC 2024 (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc)
  • If possible, attach a screenshot

I have hundreds of projects I’m archiving and urgently need auto-activation to work when I open the files, individually activating every font for every document is simply not an option.

How do I get it working again for the latest Adobe updates?

Hello @bpk101, thank you for your post
This issue has been coming up recently, here’s the latest information on it:

The same thread also contains a workaround one of the users found for PS and IL, perhaps in could be helpful in the meantime:

Hope this helps,

In terms of the workaround I’ve tried it but fonts are still not auto-activating in Illustrator CC 2024.

Have I pointed FontBase to the correct plug-ins folder?

Incidentally I’m on a MacBook M2 (if indeed M1 relates to the Mac processor).

Thank you for the quick reply
Looks like the M2 chip might be the issue for the workaround, since the folder looks like it’s in the right place, unfortunately :pensive:
We’ll do our best to make this work as soon as we can, although no strict deadline is available for now, please bear with us until then if you can
Thank you again,
Yuriy
