Tested with Illustrator 2024 and Google Fonts (default). Auto-Activation V. 2.19.4 does not work.
Mac OS Sonoma 14.1, IMac 2019 27", 3,7 GHz Intel Core i5, Radeon Pro 580X 8 Go, 64 Go 2667 MHz DDR4. Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop 2024 are installed.

Also, does auto-activation work in InDesign and Photoshop 2024?

Auto-activation works in Photoshop 2024 and Indesign 2024, 3-4 seconds after opening a document.
Auto-activation does not work in Illustrator 2024.
Procedure:
1- In FB: Activate a font
2- In AI: Select a text and choose the font activated in FB
3- Save and close the AI document
4- Deactivate the font in FB
5- Open AI document
6- Error message appears in AI: This font is unavailable.

No. The font remains disabled.
@yuriy auto activation not working for me either. i manually downloaded the new update, closed the program and reopened as well as restarted computer but getting same error.

Would it be possible to check if the Illustrator 2024 plugin is installed correctly? The correct path should be displayed in the respective field in the Settings page and the FontBase plugin folder should be present when viewing Illustrator 2024’s Plug-Ins folder via a file manager.
If it’s already there and everything seems to be in order, could you please try to remove to FontBase plugin and re-install it from the Settings page?

Strangely, FontBase was installed outside the Illustrator plugins folder, at the same level as Illustrator. I’ve reinstalled FB in the Illustrator plugins folder and everything works normally. Thanks for your help.
Suddenly the auto-activation does not work anymore. What can be the problem?
It does not work in Illustrator and Indesign.
