Couple months back when i was working at home and was trying to save an illustrator document. I got this error “an unknown error occurred”. I didnt know what it was and started researching. By accident i found out, when i quite FontBase, i am able to save a document.
Now tonight ive noticed this error again. There is no update, current running version i have i2.18.1
again to night, quilting fontbase does allow me to save. Tonight it occurred using Montserrat font

Could you please try to remove the FontBase plugins for Illustrator (and optionally re-install them via Settings if you’re using them)?
The plugins folder should be located at something like: C:\Program files\Adobe Illustrator (your version number)\Plug-ins\Extensions**

Im using the free version and that plugin is not installed. Its also grayed out in the settings of FontBase.

ah see there is an plugin. Kinda weird it is installed but i cant used it. That should be the otherway around. Only install if your using paid version

Tried the same file again and now it does save. Did not remove the aip file yet. Ill keep that in mind for the next time.
