I believe, as a possible workaround, disabling collection auto-sync should remedy the situation, as collections are saved when the app is closed. My guess would be that in this situation when the app is not closed properly, the auto-sync file retains older data, and on next startup it imports these data, reverting the collections to the state they were in previously if that makes sense?
