DBCS font filenames not handled correctly

MacOS 10.15.7
FontBase 2.18.1 (registered edition)

I have a large number of CJK fonts with double-byte filenames. Apparently none of them was registered in FontBase when I clicked “add the whole font folder,” because none of them can be seen or searched for in the FontBase lists. Files with ASCII filenames that are in the same folder do display and can be searched normally. The files were correctly copied to the /users/me/FontBase folder, but are simply not available in FontBase.

Add: Apparently if the filename is ASCII and the internal fontname is DBCS, that internal fontname will display normally as the fontname in the FontBase list. All these fonts work normally, and could be switched on/off normally under Suitcase Fusion (which I no longer own) on this same Mac.

Hello @elipsett, thank you for the post and welcome to the forum
And a separate thank you for detecting this. Something for us to look into.
Thank you again,
Yuriy
