This is odd and is definitely not supposed to happen. Have you perhaps had the chance to reset the settings as per https://fontba.se/learn/reset-settings and see if that would help?

You might want to upgrade to Windows 11 25H2. It runs beautifully there and there’s been a few more updates to Fontbase.
