When I was reading up about Fontbase, I came across a set of instructions regarding adding a repository and installing with “apt install”. I was not near my computer at that time, but when I was, I could not find that post. I would be obliged if any of the members, know about this and would let me have the information. Thanks!
Hello @ADG, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum
As far as I’m aware, FontBase for Linux is only available as an AppImage. And if I understand correctly, this is not the file format that would easily work with apt install?
Thank you again,

Thank you very much for your response. I must be wrong, although I’m sure I remember seeing something like that. If I do come across that post again, I’ll post it in here.
Have been using FontBase on Linux Mint quite a while now, both Ubuntu-based and currently LMDE6, so far I didn’t encounter instructions other than AppImage.
Since I use it on Opensuse as well, I’m grateful for that.
On AppImage you will always get the last updates, so it’s probably preferable to installation by apt.
That it comes with an Apple-style menu is not usual but not mortal.
What is missing in the package however, is the FontBase logo. I made it myself as a PNG, so it is visually easy to recognise on desktop or in the menu.
