Fontbase Interferes with Google Chrome Text Glyphs

  • Turning on font base and thus activating fonts causing text in Google Chrome to turn into jumbled gibberish. I’m only using Google Fonts with FontBase. I have some purchased fonts activated through Font Book on this computer as well.

This bug is happening in Chrome when Roboto font is activated in any other font manager. Try deactivating Roboto and restart Chrome.

Aha! Thank you. It looks like simply deactivating Roboto works.
