FontBase not refreshing numeric text properly when testing UI balance layouts

Hi, I’m using FontBase for previewing fonts while working on some UI mockups, and I’ve run into an issue that’s slowing me down.

Part of my workflow involves testing layouts that include things like account balance displays, similar to what you’d see in apps like National Bank of Abu Dhabi. I usually type different numbers into the preview text to check spacing and alignment across fonts.

The problem is that FontBase doesn’t always update the text correctly when I change the numbers. Sometimes it keeps showing the previous value or only partially refreshes, especially when I switch fonts quickly. It makes it hard to accurately preview how the balance or numeric values will look in different typefaces.

I’ve already tried restarting the app and reloading fonts but the issue still comes back. Has anyone else seen this behavior when working with changing numeric text in previews or is there a setting that affects how text refresh works?

Hello @brukewendel, thank you for your post :folded_hands:
Don’t think we’ve received similar reports, this is quite unusual. No refresh settings as far as I’m aware, beyond adjusting scrolling speed in the Settings page.
By “switch fonts quickly” do you mean scrolling the main font family list in the Organize page?
To better understand what might be going on - what FontBase version are you using currently?
Has this always been happening or did it start at a certain point?

Thank you again,
