When I have a large group of fonts selected, typically using Com-A; and need to deselect only one or a few, discontinuously, before moving them into a Collection – whatever key combinations I try - Com-click, Shift-click, etc - instead of deselecting that font, it opens the font to its family of styles.

This appears to be a bug, it’s definitely not supposed to happen. Already fixed and will work as expected starting from the next update, hopefully coming soon
