I think I screwed up a recent font install


I put the fonts into the “Fonts” folder inside the “Fontbase” folder, and they haven’t shown up in my font list. Did I put them in the wrong place or miss a step? I haven’t installed fonts into the program in ages.

If your fontbase folder isn’t a watched folder, copy and past are not enough. I think you should remember (or investigate in the help info) how to handle fonts … maybe Yuriy will help you find the right way

Do you perchance have the file settings set to “online only” in OneDrive?
For the sync to work the files have to be available locally.

I didn’t see a specific setting for wifi, but my tech husband, who has zero need for font management :person_shrugging:, changed some setting and that fixed the problem.

The only thing left is I am still getting the message the app won’t update.

Would it be possible to download the latest FontBase installer (2.23.1) from FontBase — Update History and install it manually? This should resolve the issue going forward.
