Import Tags and Collection after Fontbase Crash

Hi everyone,
something happened to my computer briefly. Everything went black, and then Fontbase stopped working. It stayed stuck on the startup screen, and I can see it running in the Task Manager.

I’ve reset Fontbase. Now I’d like to restore the tags and collections from my backup. What’s the best way to do this?

Kind regards

Hello Ricardo, thank you for your post :folded_hands:
Have you perhaps already tried replacing the current FontBase folder (the one you copied as a backup beforehand) with the backup you’d made?

Thank you again,

Same question, how to backup tags and collections locally. I’m MacOS user.

Hello again @dvnkt :folded_hands:
Collections can be exported and imported separately via the Settings page. Tags cannot be duplicated separately at the moment, but all app information can be duplicated by copying the local user data folder: ~/Library/Application Support/FontBase or ~/Application Support/FontBase on Mac. This will include all the app data, including tags and collections. Restoring from this copy would require simply replacing the source folder (path above) with the reserve duplicate.
