Issues with the always-on Google as a provider

Since some recent update there’s a Providers section in the sidebar, with Google and FontMarket.

Many of the fonts in my local library are freely licensed (SIL-OFL), and as it turns out Google collects many of those on their platform too, so they have a lot of the fonts that I have as well.

I’d like to report two bugs/shortcomings:

  1. When a local font is activated, it seems that sometimes the Google version is activated instead (green dot and count next to Google, /Providers/Google/ paths in the font styles). I never explicitly asked to get anything from Google, I have those fonts locally.
Please always favour the local versions, or have options about that.

  2. There is seemingly no way to deactivate Google as a provider, like it is possible for FontMarket through https://web.fontba.se/account/providers. I will never used Google as a provider, so I’d like to remove it, especially if it can avoid issue like the point above.

Thanks!
