FontBase 2026.2.5
While not logged into FontBase Awesome:
• Application will start normal.
• Application will operate.
• Application will browse and activate fonts.
While logged into FontBase Awesome:
• Application will start normal.
• Application will Crash.
• “Something bad happened - Restart” message.
• continues to loop.
• Logging out will stop the cycle upon the next crash restart.
I have cleared the settings with no effect.
FontBase Awesome account is current with aces via web site.
Main applications are Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
This started with the update affected by the certificate update issue. Prior to that update, systems working normal, other than the Adobe plugin issues late last year.

Was there any other text in the error message besides what you’ve mentioned?
There is no text displayed other that the “Something bad happened - Restart”. System goes to a full blank screen, error message, then cycles. When the system restarts it looks normal for about 5-10 seconds, errors, then restarts. To end the cycle. After the cycle, I quickly log out, system cycles, then becomes stable. Stable with no login and no access to the extra features provided by being logged in.

Could you please try to uninstall FontBase, reset the settings, download the latest version from FontBase — Downloads and see if the issue still persists?

Would it be possible for you to try the steps I’ve mentioned above (uninstall, clear settings, download latest version, install it)?
That process did not resolve my issue.
Process:
• Uninstalled FontBase Application
• Removed the folder "C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\FontBase
• Downloaded FontBase-2026.2.5.exe
• Installed application
• Started Application
• Application seemed stable
• Logged into Application
• Stable for 10-15 seconds
• “Something bad happened - Restart”
• Restart
• Cycles again and again
• Logout
• “Something bad happened - Restart”
• Restart
• Stable
User setting folder has no effect on behavior. Clean install version with no settings or return of the original data. Same results.
No min OS log entries.
