It would be very useful be able to select several collections, or a combination of collections and folder, and see the fonts that are in the intersection of all selected (i.e. that are in all the selected items).
For instance I might have a “High-contrast serifs” collection and a “Free for commercial use” folder. Selecting both would reveal fonts that are high-contrasts serifs that are free for commercial use. Or I could have a “Grotesk” collection and a “Inktraps” collection, and selected both would show me all my grotesques with inktraps.
Hello again Nicolas and thank you for your post
Similar result can be achieved by using tags, e.g.:
open a collection;
select all of its fonts;
add the desired tag to them;
repeat the process for the second collection;
open the SuperSearch panel;
select the two newly added tags from the list.
Thanks! I do find collections much more practical than tags to organise the fonts, because you can easily drag and drop fonts to classify them, and you can have a clear hierarchy of classification thanks to subcollections, while still having fonts in several collections at once. It’s a very good feature, and I feel tags a little more hidden / hard to reach for everyday operations.
So I’d still would love for this to work with collections/folders, even though it can be done with tags already, which is a good tip for now!
