I live in Northern Canada where I am somewhat off the grid. My internet availability is limited and as a result, I have kept using my Adobe CS Design software and do not use the cloud very much.
My problem at the moment is that I can’t load fonts into any Adobe or Microsoft applications. While the fonts are selected as on, they do not appear in the font menu. Oddly enough I can see my new fonts within my Mac Mail account font menu when I formulate an email.
Details:
PLATEFORM: Mac
OS 10.14.6
ADOBE: CS6
FONTBASE: 2.18.1
The fonts that I am most interested in using are as follows:
2Peas Bohemian
1470Jenson
GrutchShaded Regular
HandVetica Regular
Marcelle Script
mixtapeMike
remagg_cz Regular
squeaky chalk sound Regular
Taco Modern Regular
Adobe Caslon Ornaments
I was previously running FootBook 9 but thought to try Fontbase hoping it would work. Even purchased the upgrade but to no avail.
Can you suggest another means of correcting the situation?
Hello @DavidRose, thank you for the post and welcome to the forum
From what I understand you have issues with active fonts displaying in other applications?
Do no active fonts display at all, e.g. any activated Google fonts that come with FontBase?
Or does this behaviour apply to every single font you try to activate?
Thank you again,

As a result of your inquiry, I activated the first font showing within the Google Fonts available which was “ABee Zee (TTF2). I did this while the app Illustrator was closed. I then re-opened Illustrator to find that the font was not presented within the Illustrator fonts available. It is also not showing within my available Mac Mail fonts. However, when I shut down my computer and re-opened it, the font was available in Mac Mail only.
Hello David, thank you for the update and sorry for the delay
This is very odd indeed. By shutdown do you mean a full shutdown or reboot? It is very unusual that a font activated by FontBase would remain active after a system re-start.
Thank you again,
