I open a file in illustrator to work again and it showed the fonts missing. Fontbase was running so I checked it and ALL the activations was lost. Also it has logged out from my account witch it has done before in the past but not again for quite some time now. In the past thought logging out has not caused any issues. This time ALL activations are lost, it doesn’t even show the windows fonts that are in my PC. Also I am not sure that logging out has done the damage, maybe it was logged out before this issue and haven’t noticed since all was working fine.
Hello @tsakodim, thank you for your post and welcome to the forum
Would it be possible to remember what happened on your PC between the last time everything was ok and this situation? Removing system folders, clearing app cache etc?
Also, do I understand correctly that you saw the installed Windows fonts in FontBase before this happened?
Logging out is not linked to font activation, so it shouldn’t be the cause. It does influence the Auto-activation/deactivation features and plugins availability, but from what I understand this is not the main issue currently.
Thank you again,

I didn’t change anything I was working with photoshop and illustrator some days ago just fine. What I remember out of the ordinary is that while I was working with the adobe apps I think I noticed that the PC was lugging so I did a restart witch I very rare do I mean the restart.
And yes the windows fonts was all in the “Active” category of Fontbase.
Thank you for the update
From the additional info, did you add your default Windows fonts folder into FontBase and activate it at some point in the past?
Thank you for the additional info
Alrighty, we’re deconstructing the issue bit by bit, that’s good.
Did the font folders and collections you previously had in FontBase also change/disappear when all the active fonts disappeared from the Active collection?
Thank you for the reply
Before I forget, the Windows system fonts shouldn’t be in the Active category in FontBase. Moreover, it would be better not to include the default system fonts folder into FontBase, could cause some performance issues in certain cases
As for the issue at hand, it seems like the FontBase cache and database are intact (hence the folders/collections question above). Is it possible that at some point the Active collection’s toggle (the little green circle) was clicked, perhaps by mistake? For now this looks like the most likely scenario given the available information.
Thank you again,
