Text Samples Defaulting at just "a"

Please include the flowing when reporting a bug:

  • Your operating system - Windows 11 & Mac Studio
  • Operating system version - Most current?
  • FontBase version - 2.20.7
  • What actions caused the issue - Not sure, everytime I open the app the default text samples is always just “a” instead of the typicall tex sample i would always get with the “the fox,”
  • If possible, attach a screenshot

Double-checked this one, and it does indeed seem to be the intended behaviour as of the current version. I do understand that some previous app versions did not work like this, sorry for the inconvenience :pensive:

Following up on this. Will there be a fix or a way to change the behavior? It’s not a big deal, but I prefer the default text to be more than “A.” V. 2.20.7. Thank you.

I just installed the latest update and was surprised this hasn’t been fixed yet. Any thoughts on when we can expect an update? Ideally, it would remember the last text you had there (I think that’s how it used to work). But if nothing else, I’d rather it default to one of the presets than just “a”!

I see what you mean with the alternative default options, it does make sense depending on how FontBase is used :pray:
