Update 2026.5.0 no longer recognizes fonts in the same root folder

Hello,
I just saw and updated to the 2026.5.0 version of fontbase right after I added some fonts from another folder (I have been doing this gradually.) and now Fontbase doesn’t recognize any fonts before the letter ‘E’, which is the group I had just added. They’re all still in the same default root folder (though inside another folder I named ‘FONTS’, but they were being recognized right before I updated.

I’m running Windows 11 version:25H2

What can I do to fix this please?

Hello @Wendell_Burke, thank you for your post :folded_hands:
Could you please check the Settings page to see if the Root folder path there points to the correct folder on your hard drive?

Thank you again,

You know what, Yuriy? I’m sorry. This is my mistake. This morning I was examining this further and realized that I got mixed up by a filter I had in effect that I forgot about. It appeared to only be displaying the last group of fonts I added but in fact I see them all here now.
It all seems fine now.

Apologies.
