View full font family

Please add the function to view FULL font family, when clicking “View font family”. Not only part of selected font like a regular, itallic, bold, but the whole family with light, condensed, compressed and others…

Is it currently not displayed correctly if all the fonts of the family are added into FontBase?
Or do you mean viewing the entire family even if only one or two fonts from this family are present in the app?

Unfortunately, I don’t understand the logic of displaying font families at all.
If I select, for example, Myriad Pro regular and click on View font family, the program displays duplicate fonts, which are in different folders, and only four styles - Regular, Itallic, Bold and Bold Itallic. Although this font has 19 styles. In short, the logic is not clear. Suitcase Fusion has a much clearer implementation of this function.

Sorry, I still don’t understand your situation completely, hence asking all the above questions.
By “this font has 19 styles” do you mean you have all of these files added into FontBase?

Yes, exactly. And when I search the font I can not clear in results where the particular font located. I try to “view font family” and see only 4 styles that located in different folders. I don’t need that behavior, it is very difficult to search and activate needed fonts.

What do you see in the main font list if you search, for example, Myriad Pro? Is there only one item you can click on to see the Family with 4 styles you’ve mentioned?

Hi Yuri, I’ve attached a couple of screenshots.

Here Akrobat is displaying as 7 different font families: https://ibb.co/HDNBQgHs.

Here I’ve clicked into the first of those 7 and it is displaying only regular and bold, even though I have all the others displayed in the first screenshot: https://ibb.co/CpbyZPYF.

This behavior drives me absolutely nutty. Also, I would very much like to filter by number of fonts in a font family, but the font family feature needs to be accurate before that would work.

First of all, sorry for the considerable inconvenience :pensive: This is a known bug caused by inconsistency in what data font developers include in the specific font files. The fix should be up with the next update, please bear with us :pray:
