Today I woke up and went to use FontBase and received a message from Windows Defender that it had blocked part of the application. I can no longer activate the fonts. And yesterday I used it normally.
The message is this:
“Smart App Control has blocked part of this application”
Quick web search will help: Windows 11 may sometimes activate Smart App Control automatically if you use permanently the same secure apps. It’s a new security feature against malware apps. in “Windows security - app and browser control - smart app control” (something like that, I use german version) you can deactivate it. But question to Yuriy, what he thinks why this can happen …
Hello Mathias, thank you for your advice
Regarding why this might be happening - since there were no changes to FontBase that I’m aware of around that time I believe something changed in the OS to produce this situation. At least with the information we have now.
