In the preferences there is this toggle > App > Auto Update.
Ive seen this before, but it wont update automatically. Im a NON paying user, so perhaps thats th cause. But i doubt thats the case, because paid options are greyed out.

Unfortunately there were some issues with this in v2.20.7. This is unrelated to subscription plans.
The best solution would be to update manually by downloading the most recent installer from our website: FontBase — Download for Windows

Yes did just that. I found that there now is 80mb separate app just for updating, isnt that a bit over kill?
It seems there is another installer suddenly on the system. I downloaded 2.21.0 and nowi see there is this one as well?! Just sitting there wasting space?! The date states 12-12-2024, so it was put there yesterday

You’ve mentioned that this installer appeared suddenly - was this folder empty before you recently installed v2.21.0?

I think so, the file was created the same day i did a manual install. So im not sure where this came from

Is it possible that it has been there before, as it should have been normally? The screenshot mentions “date modified”, it looks like it’s been updated after the recent installation, not necessarily created

The file seems the be there from 2020, guess this gets automatically updated/downloaded. I did not put it there, so guess this is fontbase auto-update location
